Renardeau et Mer Baltique, #Finlande.
Un jeune prédateur, aussi discret que curieux. Même si le renard n´est pas mammifère marin, ce jeune renard a vécu ses premiers mois à quelques mètres de la Mer Baltique. Il n´est pas impossible que sa mère ait profité du littoral pour nourrir ses jeunes. Dans la nature, tout est lié, c´est un ensemble que nous devons protéger.

A young predator that is as shy as curious. Even if foxes are not classified as marine mammals, this young one spent its first months only few meters away from the Baltic Sea. It is very probable that its mother has benefited of the coastal area to feed her litter. Nature is connecting so much species together, protecting the marine environment is also protecting many more species.

Appâter des animaux sauvages sans raison à part pour les photographier plus facilement : je suis totalement contre ce type de pratique. C´est malheureusement largement répandu en Europe, et rarement précisé sous les images. Ici en Finlande, la plupart des images de prédateurs terrestres par les photographes de “nature” sont réalisés grâce à des appâts. Il n´y a pas grand-chose de naturel dans ces images, mais c´est mon point de vue ! Images de 2015, je n´y mets plus les pieds et je n´utilise pas cette pratique.<br />

I am totally against baiting wildlife, there is no good reason behind baiting. Unfortuntealy, it´s a widepread practice in Europe and rarely shared in the pictures captions. Here in Finland, most of the pictures of predators are made using baits. It´s called “wildlife photography” but I am not sure if this is really about wildlife...
