Macareux moine des îles Shetland, #Écosse.
Les derniers rayons de soleil frappent les falaises qu´une douzaine de macareux viennent juste de rejoindre. Il y a peu de lumière, mais c´est difficile de s´arrêter d´observer et de photographier cet oiseau incroyable d´une bonne vingtaine de centimètres qui gambadent dans les herbes hautes. Et quand le macareux se met au bon endroit au bon moment, il faut l´immortaliser...
Depuis Août, des milliers de couples de macareux ont quitté ces îles pour passer de nombreux mois en mer pour se nourrir. À l´exemple de ces derniers jours, ils devront faire face à des coups de vent assez intenses avant de revenir sur les falaises au printemps pour se reproduire. Une espèce incroyable !

Atlantic puffin of the Shetland, #Scotland.
The last sun rays are hitting the cliffs while a dozen of puffins are back in the high grass frolicking around. Even if the light is tough, it´s hard to stop watching and photographing this small bird that is between 20 to 30 centimetres high. At one point the puffin came to the right place at the right moment: that´s the perfect time for a click.
Since August, thousands of pairs of puffins left the islands to spend several months at sea to feed. Like for the last days, they will face very bad weather before to come back to the cliffs in the spring for the breeding period. Such an awesome species!
